A parte che la carriola non è stata venduta a nessuno e nessuno ha fatto offerte, ho trovato da dove può essere stata presa la farneticazione dei 100.000 dollari, da qua:

Ma traducendo si tratta di un'assicurazione sull'eventuale mancata consegna del bene, fino a .......100.000, ovvio nel caso il bene fosse venduto a 100.000, ma semplicemente non è stato comprato da nessuno e si capisce bene il perchè.
