[Cit. Al Volante]
Poi ci sono gli altri.
"To drive, the Jazz is less appealing. Its 1.3-litre engine may be new but it feels decidedly old against the turbocharged units from the Volkswagen Group and Ford. It takes a long time to rev up to where it is most potent, and you need to keep it there if you want to overtake or sprint down a motorway slip road.
That means moving about between the gearbox's relatively short ratios in order to keep the Jazz's sweet spot alive. At least the gear lever's short throw and snappy, precise shift means it isn't too much of a chore. Unfortunately, putting up with the Jazz's engine noise at even medium revs is." [Cit: Autocar]
"Around town it’s nippy enough and the ride is noticeably more compliant than before. You’d never describe the Jazz as fast, but speed builds steadily and in a linear fashion – at least until higher in the rev band when the iconic VTEC system gives the engine a little extra boost." [Cit Autoexpress]
"It might be a new engine but it isn’t particularly impressive, with a peak of 123Nm of torque available at 5000rpm. That means it needs to be worked fairly hard to deliver meaningful acceleration and it can get a little loud - though thankfully doesn’t make an unpleasant noise." [Cit HonestJohn]
"This new 1.3 might be quicker than the old 1.4, but it's still sluggish. It feels most alive at the top of its rev range but has to be pushed there if you want a good turn of acceleration. You'll find yourself continually changing down a gear in order to access it, too.
The gearbox itself has a pleasingly short shift and snappy action and there's only a hint of buzz through the pedals at very high revs. Unfortunately extra sound deadening in the wheel arches and dashboard hasn't stopped a lot of engine noise entering the cabin, even at medium revs." [Cit WhatCar]
"The petrol does have to be worked hard to get the most from it. Given, it is happy enough when you are slowly pushing the rev counter towards the red line, but when you need to overtake quickly you will need to hit 5,000rpm to get its maximum performance. So make sure you plan any overtaking manoeuvres meticulously. To be honest, we would rather have the low CO2 emissions than a slightly punchier unit." [Cit Carkeys]
"Stir the manual gearbox’s short throw mechanism and acceptable performance can be encouraged from the 101BHP naturally aspirated unit, though doing this means there is notable engine noise entering the cabin. Like I said, the Jazz is not very good at being a racing car, but just like its predecessor, it is very good at providing honest and reliable transport." [Cit Inside Lane]
E a cambiare spesso." [Cit Quattroruote].
